The Importance of Undercover Videos and Recordings

There are numerous ways to use the concept of private investigations.  Today there are two organizations that are using it to bring to light the corruption that is all around us.  The first time we heard about this was several years ago when James O'Keefe and his companion exposed Planned Parenthood for what they were.

With Planned Parenthood, Mr. O'Keefe and his companion dresses as a pimp and a prostitute and presented the idea of bringing girls from a Latin country to the US and forming a house of prostitution.  Planned Parenthood answered their questions and explained to them exactly what they would need to do and how to do it.  Mr. O'Keefe took videos and recorded every conversation with a secret camera.  This was eventually exposed to lawmakers and Americans across the United States.

Mr. O'Keefe's next project was to find out how he could vote in the election several times so his candidate would be sure to win.  Representing the state of Virginia, Representative Jim Moran's son was caught on video telling Project Veritas that it could be done, but that they would have to "forge utility bills."

Their most recent undercover project exposed the hypocrisy of those pushing gun control laws that would leave people defenseless in their homes.  When these people were offered a sign proclaiming that their home was "gun free", none of them were willing to place it in their front yard. Learn more about these projects and see the videos at Project Veritas.

Recently a pro-life website  has released three undercover videos on the abortion industry.  People across America have been shocked as abortion doctors or nurses have made statements such as, "We will not resuscitate a baby born alive after a botched abortion", or a baby born alive after a botched abortion should just be flushed down the toilet".  These videos and other pro-life information can be found at Life News.

Undercover videos are an excellent way to expose the corruption running rampant in America today.  It doesn't matter if you are a professional private investigator or if you are just an amateur who wants to see if there is something he/she can do to make a difference.  Just make sure you follow the laws in the state you live in.  The Project Veritas website lists the laws of each state.  Many states allow undercover videos and recordings if just one of the parties is in agreement, making this a feasible occupation in many areas

10 Successful Surveillance Tips for Private Investigators

by Scott B. Fulmer

Surveillance is an art form, not a science.  Unfortunately many of its best lessons are learned through trial and error.  Whether you conduct insurance, defense or domestic investigations, surveillance is a large part of your day as a private investigator.  The following 10 suggestions will help you conduct a more cost-effective and successful surveillance.

1. A Detailed Intake Sheet  Start by gathering as much information as you can from the client up front.  This sounds pretty obvious but you'd be surprised.  Many clients simply want to give you the subject's name, age and address and leave it at that.  A detailed intake sheet draws together information above and beyond the industry standard: information such as doctor appointments, therapy appointments, marital status, number of children, hobbies, etc.  This allows for a clearer picture of the subjects routine and helps you avoid re-inventing the wheel out in the field.  This information, together with a search of public and proprietary databases, will save you time and allow you to provide your client a more cost-effective investigation.  More...

The Importance of an Investigator’s Job

As our entire nation watched another terrorist attack take place on American soil, we saw a couple of things happen.  First of all, people forgot about themselves and the danger they were facing and concentrated on helping those around them.  It was a beautiful picture of what has made America great for all these years.  Ordinary everyday people worked right alongside medical professionals, and no one pointed out the difference.

As people were moved from the scene to the hospitals and the street began to clear, investigators of different kinds began to move in and do their job.  It was up to them to secure the area to keep the evidence from becoming contaminated.  This is the first step in making sure that the individual or individuals who perpetrated this terrible crime can be brought to justice.

It is the job of the investigators working the crime scene to find evidence and to conserve it.  They look for anything they can find to prove the case in court.  They must be extremely careful not to leave their fingerprints on evidence that is found.

Over and over investigators have asked that people come forward with any information that might help them find the perpetrator.  Pictures that were taken, suspicious actions or words or mere suspicions are being looked at with the greatest of care.  It is not always a large, important clue that solves the case. This is the important job of an investigator.

A Tragedy Prevented

watch out for a local sex offender
Brock had used a website called Cellphone Registry one time to find out who the owner was of a cell number he had found in his briefcase.  It had been scrawled on a napkin and must have been there forever because he had totally forgotten where it came from.  After finding out about this website through a search online, he had found out that the number was from a client that he'd worked with several months prior.  After using the website that one time, he had forgotten about it - until it was his turn to take the kids to the park.

Jesse was a four year old with limitless energy and Laura was a thirteen year old that had just started begging her dad to allow her to wear fingernail polish.  Their mother and Brock's wife had a meeting and it was his day to spend time with the kids.  In the middle of running around the slide to catch Jesse and keep him from putting a frog on another little girl, Brock had a phone call.  It was an important client that couldn't wait, so he told Laura to watch Jesse and he went to the bench to answer the call.

The client was particularly rattled and kept Brock distracted on the phone longer than he'd planned to be.  He ruffled through his briefcase to find papers that he could reference for the client in order to explain a point and by the time he got off the phone, half an hour had passed.  Of course, he had glanced up at the children, but seeing that they were still there and playing, he hadn't worried.

On the way home, Laura became upset.  Brock tried to find out why and was absolutely floored and outraged when he did find out.  While he was on the phone, a man had come to the fence on the other side of the park.  He had called Laura over and talked to her for a minute.  He told her that she was very pretty and that he would like to talk to her more.  Laura described the man as 'really old, like Grandpa.'  She was extremely upset and said that the man had said she would make a good girlfriend.  He had given her a piece of paper with a cell phone number on it and told her to call him.

Brock saw completely red and after dropping the kids off at home, he returned to the park and looked around.  Of course, the man was nowhere to be found.  Just then, Brock remembered the cell phone number and the website.  Speeding home, he went to CellphoneRegistry and entered the number.  Although the man had thought he was being smart to give the girl a cell phone number, Brock found his name instantly.  Disturbingly, he also found his criminal records and found out he was a convicted local sex offender.  He immediately called the police, and the man was arrested.  Brock couldn't have been more thankful that this website had stopped this man from harassing or doing worse things to other girls Laura's age.  Brock never took another call at the park again, either.

Hire a Private Investigator or Do It Yourself

Deciding whether to hire a private investigator or to investigate on their own is not a decision most people have a long time to consider.  It is not uncommon for a person to unexpectedly find himself thrown into a life changing situation where an investigation needs to be done.  Suddenly, they have to make a decision.

hiring a private investigatorThere are a variety of reasons people hire a private investigator or investigate a situation themselves:  It’s necessary that secrets be discovered.  Some common examples are:
  •  To locate someone they want to find
  •   To locate someone who owes them money
  •  To do a background check on a potential family member, business partner or potential employee
  •  To do a criminal investigation
  • To prove their innocence in a crime
  •  To do GPS tracking or to place hidden cameras
Hiring a private investigator is often very expensive, and it is not something that everyone can afford.  There are two ways to get secrets discovered without paying a fortune when there is a problem that needs to be solved.  The person can take an online course and become an official private investigator himself, or he can use an online tool that allows him to do his own investigating with unlimited access to all sorts of public records.

The online course is more costly, but it also provides a line of work that the person can acquire a job in.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for a private investigator or private detective is excellent.  Between 2010 and 2020, it is projected that this type of job will have a 21 percent growth rate, which is higher than normal.  The average yearly salary is roughly $43,000.  If you have lost your job and need a new one or if you desperately need to find a loved one, don’t wait, get started NOW!

If a person wants to do a simple investigation to see if a person has a criminal record or to find a person, it is less costly to use an online tool that will give access to the majority of a person’s records.  If you are getting a new business partner or thinking about hiring a new employee, it is extremely important to know who they are and see if secrets need to be discovered.   Click Here!  Before it is too late. Phone records, public records, inmate records, sex offender records and criminal records are just an example of the types of records that the person would be able to access.  There is usually a small charge for a short trial period to try out the product and then a monthly fee of approximately $20 for as long as the person requires the private investigation service help.
